Bernard Thomas
Bernard Thomas est un chef d’orchestre français reconnu pour son engagement en faveur de la musique classique et pour la création de l’Orchestre Bernard Thomas, fondé en 1967. Né le 24 février 1937 à Limoges, il suit d’abord des études de droit et obtient un diplôme de l’École supérieure de notariat avant de choisir définitivement la musique, sa véritable passion. Il se forme auprès de grands maîtres tels qu’Igor Markevitch, Eugène Bigot et Jean Fournet.

Avec son orchestre, Bernard Thomas développe un répertoire très large, allant de la musique baroque aux grandes œuvres sacrées, en passant par l’opéra, l’opérette et la musique contemporaine. Il se distingue rapidement par la qualité de ses interprétations et par son désir de rendre la musique classique accessible à tous les publics. Pionnier des concerts « hors les murs », il organise des représentations dans des lieux inhabituels comme des usines ou des prisons afin de rapprocher la musique du grand public.

It has survived not only many decades, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised thanks to these sheets and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker and Microsoft Word including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
